The Ale House

The Ale House in Broederstroom  has been the home of the Solstice Craft Beer Festival for a decade.  Keeping up with the tradition, 2016 is  another famously relaxed festival for all lovers of beer, and serious craft brew enthusiasts.

Jackie van Tonder  has always been the heart of the festival - the reason for the celebration.  But Jackie now steps up as organiser, bringing her international experience of beer back home.

Barcelona's beer scene has shaped Jackie's experience of beer.  She has brewed, advised, supported and established many connections.  She brings those Bareclona experiences to the Solstice Festival, adding an international twist to the most laidback and certainly one of the oldest festivals on the circuit.

Ale House Broederstroom is the setting.  Rustic, charming and overlooking the Magaliesberg Mountains where most of the local craft beer is sourced.

Pipe in some music, waft in the smell of great food, load up the beer cart - and we are set to celebrate.
